Everything is ready at Vero Volley Monza for the season finale. We work out in the gym in preparation for the 5th place Play Off Final, a tournament that assigns a place in the European cups. Saturday 13 May, at 19.30 (live volleyballworld.tv), the Lombards are expected at the Pala Barton in Perugia by Sir Safety Susa.
The winners of Sunday’s semi-finals face each other: the Umbrians eliminated Modena 3-0 and with the same partial the Monzese prevailed over Padua. They closed the group in first and second place respectively, which is why Perugia has the right to host the match. They came out of the quarterfinals in the championship race from Milan in game 5 and from Trento in game 4. While in the regular season Perugia finished in first place unbeaten and Monza in seventh place.
The Lombardi are looking for the third absolute participation in European competitions after the experiences of the 2018-2019 Challenge Cup, closed with the defeat in the Final against the Russians of Belgorod and that in the CEV Cup of 2021-2022, won against the French of Tours .
This season Monza and Perugia have met three times with three 3-0 wins for the Umbrians.
