The inauguration of the Sant’Ambrogio gym was a great success with a classic game between Verona and Treviso and no less than a thousand fans. The crowd responded to the great performance put it by the yellow and blues of Verona, who won the game in the fifth set. A tie-break that seemed to go Verona’s way right from the start. It built a 10-6 lead but Treviso had not said its last word yet. It came back within one (13-12) but Verona hanged on and deservedly earned a standing ovation from its numerous fans.

“It’s nice to win and see we are on the right track – said middleblocker Daniel Howard – We managed to play at a good level although it’s obvious that we have still a lot of work to do before the beginning of the championship”.
