After over two hours of play, Latina and Verona shared the points but it’s Medei’s team that prevailed in the tie-break. MVP Goran Vujevic.
Giampaolo Medei (coach Andreoli Latina): “I am happy with the win. We managed to snatch a point in Piacenza by taking the fourth set, today we left it to Verona. There are things to improve but I prefer to look at the positive for now. We’ve always played good games this season, even the one lost in Cuneo. It was nice to see Meoni back at the top level”.
Bruno Bagnoli (coach Marmi Lanza Verona). “I have seen the players sticking together and showing a good attitude in the fourth set. Looking at the stats, we have done well in attack compared to our usual standard. Latina is stronger right now, we’ve had problems at the beginning of the championship, like today with Smerilli’s injury”.
