Treviso surrendered at the tie-break in a clutch game against Tours despite the great atmosphere the fans created (over 2000) in Belluno. The French outfit had already won it 3-2 in the first leg. In the fifth set, it was all tied at 13, then Kovar, who had a good game, cancelled out the first match point. In the end, though, Ngapeth gave his team the victory.
Belgorod has a firm grip on first place with 10 points, Tours follows with 6, while Treviso and Fenerbahce shares the last position with 4 points. Treviso’s last hopes of qualifications will be down to the last two encounters in Belgorod (January 5) and in Belluno against Fenerbahce (January 12).
