The bus that took the players and staff at Munich arrived in Trentino’s Duomo square at about 12.40. That’s when the celebration resumed with all the fans waiting for their World champions.
“The second successive triumph in Doha confirms the International vocation of Trentino Volley and how successful is the program wich we have been building on for the past three years – said President Diego Mosna, who was the first to come out of the bus with the trophy in his hands, welcomed by a special ovation – We are obviously thrilled to remain the best in the world. This gives great credibility not only to the club but the whole Italian volleyball. The fact that the Club World Championships was broadcasted on Rai Sport 2 and that the final against Belchatow had space for a few minutes on Rai 2 can really be important publicity for Italian volleyball. We’ll dedicate another day to the celebrations and then we’ll be back in the gym to start preparing for the fixtures to come”.
