Last game of 9th Round of Unipolsai Superleague at PalaFlorio in Bari, the home of next Del monte Italian Cup Final Four next january. It was a good win for Kioene Padova over Bcc Castellana Grotte, grabbing three important points good for the standings. With this win Padova sat on fifth place in superleague standings. It was an emotional game especially in third set, won by the visiting team 30-28, thanks to a couple of key plays by the best scorer of the game, opposite Gabirele Nelli, who put on the ground 16 points. A good game also for Lazar Cirovic, 14 points for the serbian. On the other side of the net the best scorer was brasilian Ferreira Costa with 14 points, few points from the spikers Tzioumakas and Hebda, some points by Rossatti, 6, and Cazzaniga, 9, put on the court by coach Lorizio who tried to stay into the match. A good moment for Valerio Baldovin’s team, who’s playing some good volleyball.
Roberto Cazzaniga (BCC Castellana Grotte): “Probably we should deserve more than this, but we are missing some confidence and toughness. The players who came off the bench did a good job, showing they belong to this level. We were hurry in trying to close some point, we should be more serene, and find the right way to improve”.
Dragan Travica (Kioene Padova): “We wanted to win this game, but it’s never easy, and this game showed that any game in Superleague is easy. We weren’t so brilliant thanks to Castellana who put us in trouble, but we were good in find the right key of the game in the sets on the edge. We are happy for this win”.
