Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia saw the end of their season. No way for giallorossi versus Bunge Ravenna in Unipolsai Playoff Challenge Quarterfinals. Ravenna won 3-1 at PalaValentia, winning on road for second time in two weeks, clinching the Final Four spot. It wasn’t a spectacular game, Ravenna took the lead in first set 25-22, with Vibo who fought back in second, winning 25-19 and grabbing the temporary tie. For Tonno Callipo the best scorer was Michalovic, with Costa 17 and Geiler 12. In the final four Ravenna will face the winner of Monza-Molfetta series.

Mvp: Maurice Armando Torres

Rocco Barone (Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia): “We stepped out of the court with the head up high. All the best to Ravenna, but we don’t have any excuse. We are so sad because we lost first set after being up by 7, this is so bad. We are sad because the season is over for us, but if we analyze all the season, we should be happy, we the players, the club, the staff and the fans”.

Fabio Soli (Bunge Ravenna): “On today we suffered alot. Vibo is a great team, great players great club, great front office, great fans. Today Tonno Callipo played a great game, putting us in trouble several times. We were great to suffer and resist, stepping up and giving everything on the court. Now we’ll play semifinal versus Calzedonia Verona. They are stronger than us, we know it, but we will be serene, playing at our best”.
