Cisterna Volley returned to work today, after two days off (Sunday and Monday) granted by the coaching staff. This morning, the team met in the gym, followed by ball training in the afternoon. Double sessions will continue until Friday, and on Saturday morning, they depart for Umbria, where they will play a double-header against Milan. Both matches against Milan will be played at the Gubbio sports hall on Saturday, October 4th at 6:00 PM and Sunday, October 5th at 5:00 PM.
Ahead of next weekend’s double-header, Nicola Salsi spoke: “The match against Milan will be an important opportunity to understand, even better, how far along we are in our growth process,” the setter emphasized. “Certainly, compared to the tests played against Perugia, both in the joint training with Catania and in the one against Aversa we managed to maintain consistency on our serve, and in modern volleyball, without a good serving percentage it’s very difficult. We’ve also improved a bit on our changeup. Now we’re waiting for the double-header against Milan, then there’s the tournament in Poland (on October 11th and 12th, Cisterna Volley will participate in the Bogdanka Volley Cup to face Bogdanka Luk Lublin, Jastrebski Weigel, and Projekt Warszawa): after these two events, we’ll have a clearer picture of what we’re missing.”
